These micro picture ledge shelves are inspired by our time living in a modest apartment in Japan. Most Japanese homes and apartments do not afford the space to mount large, bulky shelves and you are forced to adapt. We had a few of these simple, yet sleek little grooved shelves on our walls that we loved and brought back to Kansas with us. We liked them so much I decided to start making my own! They are great for displaying art, pictures, decorations, slim books, or records. Emphasize your art, not your shelf.
The shelves are handcrafted from solid red oak and finished with your choice of stain and/or a clear coat to enhance the natural beauty of the wood. There is a ½” wide groove that runs the length of the shelf to provide a nice ledge. The triangle hangers attached to the back of the shelf make for easy hanging with the included stylish tacks. This listing is for shelves in 1" increments anywhere from 12" to 36" long. If you need shorter or longer shelves than this range please message me.

The shelf will be finished on all exposed surfaces. The back that sits against the wall is not finished. Triangle hangers are pre-attached for your convenience and come with decorative tacks to hold them up on the wall. Grab a level or just eyeball it, push the tacks in and you're done! I can also add horizontal keyholes in place of the hangers if you want the shelf to be a true “floating” shelf. Please send me a message when you make your order.
